Good
The package-tour engine room — Old Town charm, The Strip mayhem, Falesia beach next door.
The Algarve's largest resort town and its most caricatured. The Old Town has proper Portuguese bones once you ignore the British pubs; The Strip (Avenida Sá Carneiro) is full-tilt stag/hen territory. Falesia Beach is genuinely world-class though.
