The two mountain peaks above the city — Fløibanen funicular and Ulriken cable car to the panoramic 7-mountain hike trailheads.
Bergen sits in an amphitheatre of seven mountains — Fløyen (320m) and Ulriken (643m) are the two with mechanical access. Fløibanen funicular runs every 15 minutes from central Vågen to Fløyen with the famous panoramic view over Bryggen and the city. Ulriksbanen cable car ascends from Haukeland to Ulriken summit — the highest peak. The Vidden 7-mountain ridge hike (Ulriken to Fløyen, 5-6 hours) is Bergen's signature alpine experience. Mountain restaurants at both summits.
