Trade-off

Tri-City spa resort — Europe's longest wooden pier, Monte Cassino pedestrian street, Baltic beach 20 min north.

Officially a separate town but functionally Gdańsk's seaside neighbour, 20 min by SKM train. Sopot is a 19th-century spa resort — the wooden pier (Molo, 511m, longest in Europe) extends into the Baltic, Monte Cassino (the Bohomolca pedestrian street) runs from the station to the pier with cafés, jazz bars and souvenir stands. The Crooked House (Krzywy Domek) is here. Baltic beach 4km long. Best for beach travellers and Tri-City explorers.
