Koh Samui
Mae Nam & North Coast

The island's quietest stretch — long, undeveloped beach with a local fishing-village feel and low prices.
Mae Nam runs along the island's north coast between Bophut and Na Thon, offering a long, less-developed beach with a handful of budget resorts and local guesthouses. The sand is fine and the water calm — great for swimming without the Chaweng crowds — and the area has a noticeably more Thai character than the tourist-heavy south. Nightlife is minimal, which is the point: Mae Nam attracts long-stay travellers, digital nomads, and repeat visitors who have outgrown the Chaweng experience.
