Cala Galdana & Migjorn Coves
Unsplash / Unsplash
The most photographed coves on the island — Cala Macarella and Cala Mitjana reached only on foot from the Galdana base.
The horseshoe bay of Cala Galdana is the only sand-cala with hotels and a road — from here the Cami de Cavalls coastal path strikes east to Mitjana and west to Macarella and Macarelleta, the postcards of Menorca. Stay here for cala-hike access; eat dinner back in the hotels.

The Georgian-era eastern capital — second-deepest natural harbour in the world, the most cosmopolitan dining.
The old western capital — sandstone old town, harbour at the bottom of cliffs, the Sant Joan jaleo in June.
The whitewashed fishing village on the north coast — caldereta de langosta lobster stew, windswept cala-roja red beaches.
