North of the Cai River — Cham towers, Long Son Pagoda, quieter local neighbourhoods.
The area north of the Cai River bridge holds Nha Trang's key historic and religious sites — the 8th-century Po Nagar Cham Towers on a low hill overlooking the river mouth, Long Son Pagoda with its 14m-tall white Buddha, and quieter local-feel neighbourhoods (Xom Bong fishing village) away from the tourist strip. Most visitors come on half-day tours; few stay overnight.
