Iguazu Falls
Itaipu Dam Area

Engineering-marvel side trip 14km north of Foz — world's second-largest hydro dam, half-day visit with night-light tour.
Itaipu Binacional Dam straddling the Paraná River between Brazil and Paraguay — 7.7km long, 196m tall, the second-largest hydroelectric station after China's Three Gorges. The Itaipu Visitor Centre offers a Panoramic Tour (bus along the crest), Special Circuit (inside the structure), and an Iluminação evening light show on Fri/Sat. The area itself is industrial with no hotels — visitors stay in Foz do Iguaçu and day-trip out. Often combined with the nearby Refúgio Biológico Bela Vista wildlife sanctuary.
