The wild southern cape — mangroves, sea gypsy village, lighthouse, snorkelling, and the island's last undeveloped coast.
The Mu Koh Lanta National Park covers the entire southern tip of the island and encompasses mangrove forests, a Chao Le (sea gypsy) village, a picturesque lighthouse with panoramic views, and the island's most unspoiled beaches. The Chao Le community at Ban Sang-Ga-U has lived on Koh Lanta for generations and continues traditional fishing practices; the village welcomes respectful visitors. The park's rocky southern shores are excellent for snorkelling during the dry season and the lighthouse hike at sunset is one of the island's best free experiences.
