Lake Bled
Pokljuka Plateau

Forested plateau at 1350m — biathlon centre, cross-country skiing, summer hiking, no lake access.
Pokljuka is a high karst plateau above Bled, home to Slovenia's biathlon centre, vast spruce forests and several mountain huts. Sheppard's Hut (Domacija) and a handful of mountain hotels (Hotel Center, Sport Hotel Pokljuka) provide stays from 1100-1400m. In winter the plateau is a quiet cross-country/biathlon haven; in summer it's a high-altitude hiking and mountain biking base, half the heat of the lake.
