Malaga
La Malagueta

The city's own beach barrio — 1.2km of sand, the bullring and the Gran Hotel Miramar.
A 10-minute walk east of the cathedral, La Malagueta is where the city meets its beach. A long sandy strip backed by a palm-lined promenade, chiringuitos serving espeto de sardinas, and the 19th-century bullring at the western end. The Muelle Uno port promenade links it to the centro. Stay here if you want beach toes-in-sand within walking distance of the Picasso Museum.
