Malaga

The old fishing villages east of the centre — chiringuito row and the best espeto sardines.
Once separate fishing villages, now Malaga's eastern beach barrios — Pedregalejo first (4km from centre), then El Palo (6km). A long curve of small sandy coves backed by a continuous chiringuito strip. Locals drive here for Sunday lunch; visitors who stay get a calmer, more residential base than centro with the beach quite literally on the doorstep.
