North Malé Atoll

The most accessible atoll — speedboat transfer, mid-to-luxury resorts, and best dive sites.
North Malé Atoll surrounds the capital island and is where the majority of the Maldives' resort infrastructure sits. The speedboat transfers (20-90 minutes) are the most affordable way to reach a Maldives resort. The atoll has the best snorkelling and diving sites, including Manta Point and the Banana Reef. The convenience comes with higher resort density — you're not as isolated as outer atolls.
