Milos

The ferry port and the only neighbourhood that genuinely works year-round as a base.
Where the Blue Star docks and where most first-timers stay. A working harbour with the Mining Museum, a long sandy bay (Lagada beach) and the densest cluster of restaurants on the island. Less postcard-pretty than Plaka but far more practical — buses to every village leave from here.
