Paros

The inland marble village — Paros as it was before Mykonos-flight-money arrived.
Highest village on the island (250m), built into the central hills out of locally-quarried marble. Lefkes was the medieval capital — built inland precisely to hide from pirates. Today it has maybe 500 residents, two tavernas, and the start of the Byzantine stone path down to Prodromos. A real working Cycladic village with weather-stained windows.
