Crafts village west of the lakes hosting the famous December folk fair.
Shilpgram is a government-sponsored crafts village 3km west of the lake complex, designed to preserve and showcase traditional tribal and folk arts from across western India. Potters, weavers, and puppet-makers work from replicated village compounds throughout the year; the Shilpgram Utsav fair in late December draws artisans from across Rajasthan and Gujarat for ten days of performance and trade. It's a genuinely educational stop that most Udaipur itineraries skip.
