Vienna
Innere Stadt (1st District)

Vienna's historic core — the Ringstrasse, St Stephen's Cathedral, and maximum imperial grandeur.
The First District is the historic heart of Vienna enclosed by the Ringstrasse: St Stephen's Cathedral, the Hofburg, the State Opera, and some of the grandest 19th-century architecture in Europe. It's Vienna's most expensive and touristic area, but the density of world-class music venues, museums, and cafe culture is unmatched. For a short visit this is the logical base.
