What you sacrifice

• ↓Uçhisar has very limited nightlife and dining options — there are a handful of terrace restaurants near the castle, but anyone wanting an evening scene must take a taxi to Göreme or Ürgüp; Uçhisar is best for those who want a quiet dinner and early bed before a dawn balloon flight
• ↓The balloon launch field serves flights from all over Cappadocia equally, but Uçhisar-based visitors will require a taxi or hotel transfer to the field at 4:30–5am; the walk from Göreme is easy, from Uçhisar it requires a vehicle
