The "Venice of Lofoten" — fishing village spread across small islands with galleries, the iconic football pitch and the best restaurants.
Henningsvær is built on a cluster of small islands linked by short bridges, 25km south-west of Svolvær. Once Lofoten's biggest cod-fishing village, today it leads in galleries (KaviarFactory contemporary art, Henningsvær Lysstøperi candlemakers), restaurants (Klatrekafeen, Fiskekrogen) and the famously photogenic Henningsvær football pitch on a rocky promontory. The Festvågtind hike behind town gives the famous bird's-eye view. Festvåg climbing area draws Norway's top alpine climbers.
