The 1km riverfront walk north of Luxor Temple, anchored by the world-class Luxor Museum (modern, well-lit, one of Egypt's best displayed collections) and the Mummification Museum. Mid-range hotels (Iberotel Luxor, Achti Resort) along this stretch and a few good Egyptian restaurants. Quieter than the Sofitel Winter Palace south end of the Corniche, with the Avenue of Sphinxes terminating at the temple.
