Mykonos
Paradise Beach

The party beach — open-air clubs running until dawn, DJ sets, and the most hedonistic scene in Greece.
Paradise Beach is where Mykonos's nightlife reputation was built and continues to be justified. The beach itself is long and sheltered enough to be genuinely pleasant in summer, but the reason people come is the clubs: Paradise Club and Tropicana run beach parties that transition seamlessly from day drinking into all-night DJ sets by international names. The crowd skews young and international, the music is loud, and the energy is relentless from June to September. This is not a place for quiet beach days — it's a place for people who want the most extreme version of a Mediterranean party island experience.

What you gain
- ↑The best beach party scene in Greece and one of the most famous in the Mediterranean — Paradise Club's all-night events with international DJs are the reason this beach has been legendary since the 1970s
- ↑The beach itself has sheltered turquoise water and better swimming conditions than some of Mykonos's more exposed northern beaches, particularly when the Meltemi is blowing
- ↑A self-contained world for those who want it: beach bars, clubs, sunbed rental, basic food, and accommodation are all on-site; you don't need Chora if Paradise is the destination
What you sacrifice
- ↓Noise is constant and intentional — Paradise Beach is not compatible with sleeping before dawn in summer; the clubs run until 6 or 7am and the bass carries
- ↓Far from Chora and the island's cultural attractions — getting here requires a bus or taxi, and doing anything else from this base means repeated back-and-forth; not a good base for seeing Mykonos broadly
- ↓Completely seasonal and completely tourist-facing: the atmosphere exists only from June to September and has no relationship with actual Mykonos or Greek life

Other Mykonos neighbourhoods
The only non-tourist part of Mykonos — inland village life, the Panagia Tourliani monastery, and local tavernas.
The iconic whitewashed heart of Mykonos — windmills, Little Venice, and the Matoyianni luxury strip.
The quieter, more upscale south coast — family-friendly beaches, boutique hotels, and a calmer take on the island.
