The island's main resort strip — Duong Dong town, the night market, beach clubs, and most of the action.
Long Beach is Phu Quoc's spine: a 20-kilometre stretch of west-facing sand anchored at its northern end by Duong Dong town, where the island's famous night market, fish sauce factories, and most restaurants and shops are concentrated. The central portion of the beach hosts the bulk of the island's resorts from mid-range guesthouses to five-star properties. Sunsets here are spectacular — the west-facing exposure means the sky goes fully orange every clear evening, and the beach clubs along the strip take full advantage. This is where most first-time visitors base themselves, and for good reason: everything is accessible, the beach is long enough to absorb the crowds, and the evening atmosphere is the best on the island.

What you gain
- ↑Duong Dong night market: the liveliest food and shopping scene on the island — fresh seafood, grilled corn, local souvenirs, and Vietnamese street food all in one walking strip
- ↑The most complete beach infrastructure on Phu Quoc: sun loungers, water sports, snorkelling day trips, and boat tour operators all depart from this stretch
- ↑Widest accommodation range on the island — from budget guesthouses behind the main road to beachfront five-star resorts with infinity pools facing the sunset
What you sacrifice
- ↓The resort development along the central and southern sections is dense and increasingly commercialised; the stretch nearest town is busiest
- ↓Getting to Sao Beach or the An Thoi Islands requires a 30–45 minute drive or boat ride south
