The resort island — its own airport, golf course, four hotels, buggies instead of cars.
Hamilton Island is the largest inhabited Whitsunday — privately operated as a resort island with its own commercial airport (HTI), Dent Island golf course, four hotels (Reef View, Beach Club, Palm Bungalows and the five-star Qualia), and a fleet of golf buggies in place of cars. Family-friendly by design but pricier than Airlie; Race Week in August is its flagship event.
