Trade-off
Rome's coolest neighbourhood — vintage shops, aperitivo bars, and the Colosseum next door.
Monti is Rome's answer to the Marais: a neighbourhood that was working-class until creatives arrived. Now it's filled with vintage boutiques, natural wine bars, and small trattorias. The key advantage over Trastevere: the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill are a 10-minute walk. The key disadvantage: it knows how good it is.
