Good
Rome's old working-class market district — the best food neighbourhood in the city.
Testaccio is built around its market and its history as Rome's slaughterhouse district — which is why it's still the best place to eat in the city. The Mercato Testaccio, trapizzino, and some of Rome's finest trattorias are here. It's a short walk from the Aventine and Circus Maximus, and has good nightlife in the old warehouses along the Tiber.
